Kylie and Justin's Surprise Wedding

Ever considered a surprise wedding? Kylie and Justin pulled off the absolute best surprise wedding for all their wedding guests- including their wedding party! Only their parents and vendors knew the secret. Read how the night played out and take notes!

After Kylie and Justin announced their engagement they told everyone they were going to have an intimate destination wedding. However they wanted to throw an engagement party in town to celebrate with close friends and family. The wedding party were told that they would be a part of the photos and to please wear black dresses and suits. Dress code, check!

The guests entered from the sidewalk to the venue with an Airstream photo booth. We tied old maple sap cans to the railing with all the bridesmaid bouquets disguised as arrangements. All the other table arrangements were kept low so that nothing looked too fancy or suspicious.

During the cocktail hour a projection screen came down and a video featuring both sets of parents talked about Kylie and Justin. Then the bride and groom chatted about their relationship and their experiences together. About 10 minutes in Kylie yelled out, sorry we lied to you! We’re NOT going away to a destination wedding but we’re getting married NOW! People were flipping out...especially the wedding party. The guys were led to their room where they were told to put on suspenders. Justin changed into his tux and boutonnieres were pinned on.

The guests were asked to stand in rows and were given protected tapers that lit up the aisle with a beautiful glow for the wedding party, Justin and Kylie who wore her mother’s sleek wedding gown from 30 years ago.

Even after the ceremony the guests were still in shock as they danced the night away to The Patrick Lentz Band!
